Mighty K9 Disclaimer: Legal Status, Vet Advice and Our Disclosure
Mighty K9 is a dog supplement, not an animal drug approved by the FDA. U.S. law has no dietary supplement category for animals (AAFCO, n.d. (food vs drug)). It is not intended to diagnose, treat, cure, mitigate or prevent any disease. Getmightyk9.com is a retail partner that earns money from sales, and nothing on it is veterinary advice.

In short
What does the Mighty K9 disclaimer cover?
It covers five things: the legal status of Mighty K9, the limits of our information, how we earn money, what the brand images mean, and why results differ from dog to dog. Each point applies to every page on getmightyk9.com.

Mighty K9 is a bacon-flavored olive oil drop for dogs. Each 2 mL serving lists 1.6 mg of ESS60, a C60 ingredient. The full label is transcribed on our Mighty K9 label page.
This disclaimer was last updated on October 11, 2026.
Legal status
Is Mighty K9 approved by the FDA?
No. Dog supplements do not get FDA approval, and Mighty K9 is not an approved animal drug.
The human supplement law, DSHEA, does not apply to products for animals (FDA, 1996). Veterinary groups agree (AVMA JAVMA News, 2001). So a dog product is legally either an animal food or an animal drug, with nothing in between (AAFCO, n.d. (food vs drug))(NASC, n.d. (history)).
| Category | What it may claim | Needs FDA approval? | Mighty K9 |
|---|---|---|---|
| Animal food (feed) | Taste, smell or nutritive value | No pre-market approval | Labeled with a guaranteed analysis and calories, like a food |
| Approved animal drug | Treat or prevent a named disease | Yes, with proof of safety and effect | Not an approved animal drug |
| "Dietary supplement" for animals | Not a legal category | Not applicable | Sold as a "canine supplement," a marketing term |
The FDA says claims to cure, treat or prevent disease, or to change body function beyond nutrition, can make a product an unapproved animal drug (FDA, n.d. (labeling and claims)). For contrast, Librela was approved by the FDA in 2023 as a monthly vet injection for osteoarthritis pain (FDA, 2023 (Librela)). Mighty K9 has been through no such review.
Claims
Can Mighty K9 diagnose, treat or prevent disease?
No. Mighty K9 is not intended to diagnose, treat, cure, mitigate or prevent any disease. It is not a pain reliever and not an arthritis medicine.
The sales page talks about joint comfort, everyday stiffness and "cellular aging." We report those words as the seller's claims, always with credit. We do not repeat them as facts, because no study has tested ESS60 or Mighty K9 in dogs with joint problems.
The evidence so far is small and mixed. A small rat study reported longer lifespans with C60 in olive oil (Baati et al., 2012). A larger mouse study found no lifespan or healthspan benefit (Grohn et al., 2021). The only dog study used 6 beagles, a different oil and a far larger dose (Hui et al., 2023). Our claims and evidence page sets each claim beside its source.
Advice
Is getmightyk9.com a substitute for veterinary advice?
No. The site is general information written by an editorial team, and it cannot examine your dog. Only your veterinarian can weigh your dog's age, weight, history and medicines.
Crying out, holding up a leg, or a limp that lasts more than a day or two needs an exam (Cornell Riney Canine Health Center, n.d.). Never give a dog human pain relievers (FDA, n.d. (pain relievers)). For a poison emergency, call ASPCA Animal Poison Control at (888) 426-4435 (a fee may apply) (ASPCA, n.d.).
Each serving is pure fat and adds 16.2 calories. Dogs with a history of pancreatitis, or on a low-fat diet, need a vet's okay first (Steiner, Merck Veterinary Manual, 2025).
How we earn
How does Getmightyk9 make money from Mighty K9?
Getmightyk9 is the U.S. retail partner for Mighty K9. We earn money when someone buys through the order buttons on our pages. Those links are marked as sponsored.
- We are not the manufacturer, and the label images name no manufacturer.
- The seller does not approve our pages before they go live.
- We point out weak spots too, such as the missing label details and the lack of a dog joint study.
- We publish no star ratings or customer quotes until reviews are matched to real orders, as FTC rules expect (FTC, 2024).
Earning from sales is a conflict of interest, and you should know it. Read our pages with that in mind, and check our sources yourself.
Images
What do the Mighty K9 brand images and badges mean?
Most images on getmightyk9.com are brand marketing art supplied with the product. They show what the brand wants to say, not results in real dogs.
Benefit panels
Dogs leaping, rolling and running illustrate the brand's claims. They are not before-and-after photos.
Shield badges
The heart, bone and dog shields are drawings. No outside group issued them.
GMP and USA badges
No certifier or country of origin is printed on the label images we have. Ask the order desk.
Each badge is explained one by one on our testing and quality page. We never use photos of people as if they were customers.
Prices
Are the Mighty K9 prices on getmightyk9.com final?
No. We copy prices from the live sales page and date them. On October 11, 2026, one bottle was $64.99, and orders over $100 shipped free. The seller can change prices at any time, and the checkout total is what you pay.
The 30-day money-back guarantee is the seller's policy. Return shipping is not refunded. A guarantee is about your money, not a promise that your dog will improve.
Results
Will every dog get the same result from Mighty K9?
No. Results vary, and some dogs show no change at all. The research behind C60 is small, so no one can predict a single dog's response.
Accuracy
What if you find an error in Mighty K9 information?
Tell us. Email [email protected] with the page and the line, and we will check it against the label and the source.
Labels change between batches, so the physical bottle always wins over our transcription. Federal rules expect a manufacturer or distributor name on pet product labels (FDA, n.d. (labeling and claims)). The label images we have do not show one, so look for it on your bottle. Weight, exercise and regular vet care still matter most for your dog's joints (AVMA JAVMA News, 2021).
FAQ
Mighty K9 disclaimer questions
Is Mighty K9 a drug or a supplement?
Legally, Mighty K9 is neither an approved animal drug nor a "dietary supplement," because U.S. law has no supplement category for animals. Its label is set out like an animal food, with a guaranteed analysis and calorie statement. "Canine supplement" is a marketing term, not a legal status.
Why does Mighty K9 say it is not intended to treat disease?
Any product that claims to treat or prevent disease in animals must be an FDA-reviewed animal drug. Mighty K9 has not been through that review, so it cannot make disease claims. The line tells you it is not a medicine for arthritis, pain or any other illness.
Does the FDA check dog supplements before they are sold?
No. Dog supplements sold as animal food do not need approval from the FDA before sale. The agency can act on unsafe products or illegal drug claims afterward. Industry programs, such as the NASC Quality Seal, are voluntary, so look for one on any bottle you buy.
Is getmightyk9.com paid by the Mighty K9 brand?
Getmightyk9 is the U.S. retail partner and earns money when people buy through its order links. The seller does not approve our pages in advance. We still report the weak spots, such as missing label details and the lack of a dog joint study.
Are the dogs in Mighty K9 ads real customers?
No. The dogs in the benefit panels and banners are brand marketing art, not customers or test results. We do not use the face photos that came with the brand materials, because they are not verified customers. Real reviews will appear only once matched to orders.
Can I trust the Mighty K9 results I read online?
Treat them with care. Results vary from dog to dog, and no published study has tested Mighty K9 itself. The FTC advises checking several sources and being wary of sudden bursts of glowing reviews. Your own notes over 30 days, shared with your vet, are more useful.
